Lily & Willow A Big Day Out
One sunny morning, Lily sat down for breakfast. Her best friend Willow the cat waited right beside the plate, hoping for a little biscuit crumb. “Today,” whispered Lily, “let's go on an adventure!” Willow's whiskers gave a happy twitch. She was ready.
1So Many Stories
First stop: the library! Shelves and shelves of stories reached right up to the sky. Lily found a book about fish with big colourful eyes and read it out loud to Willow. They curled up on the comfy couch, then hid away in a cosy reading tunnel, turning page after page after page.
2Yummy Treats
All that reading made two tummies rumble! At the bakery, Lily licked a chocolate lolly while a pink jelly cake sparkled on the plate. They shared crunchy golden chips (Willow only had a sniff of hers). Then they picked bright apples and bananas at the market, with Willow riding along in the trolley.
3Time to Play
Outside at last! The park was full of ducks and cheeky pigeons who came to say hello. At the playground, Willow climbed to the top of a tall wooden post to be extra brave, and Lily rode a wooden horse into the sunshine. What a big day out. “Best adventure ever,” yawned Lily. Willow purred.
